HOUSES
Every preloved property holds untold stories and hidden potential. These spaces, once silent witnesses to the past, become our canvas. We reimagine them as versatile spaces that serve the community's needs. From event venues to cafes, brand space to galleries, each space is carefully curated. Our spaces are more than just walls; they're conduits for cultural exchange. Akatsuki is an open invitation. We welcome partnerships with property owners, cultural organizations, local artisans, and businesses.Bunga Raya, MelakaLimbongan, MelakaTREASURES
In our collection is a careful curation of Japanese Armours and Swords, Shoji Screens and Woodblock Prints. They remind us that culture transcends borders and heritage is a shared legacy. As we acquire cultural items from across Asia, our collection becomes a bridge—connecting diverse traditions and fostering understanding. These artefacts are an invitation to explore, learn, and find kinship. We are open to collaborative opportunities - trade, film shoots, and exhibition e.t.c. - to integrate these treasures into various cultural ventures.FEATUREDJapanese sword with Aoi crest by Echizen Yasutsugu Nanban iron (Echizen 3rd or 4th generation)Japanese Yoroi ArmourJapanese Vintage Shoji Screen
AKATSUKI ASIA focuses on building and deploying capital and connections from Singapore with a long term focus to acquire and manage heritage and culturally rich assets in UNESCO protected cities of Melaka and Kyoto.
These assets are restored, revitalised and recapitalised into exciting new uses to continue to tell the stories of the people and places of yesteryear, adapted for today's world and to preserve the narrative for future generations.
Assets acquired and traded include tangible assets such as heritage, freehold properties, art, antiques and intangible assets such as original content such as music and intellectual property from these culturally rich cities. These can be presented as event experiences and exhibitions to tell the stories in a modern, fun and engaging way.
This vision to unveil AKATSUKI, which signifies a new dawn, a new beginning, linking past, present and future can only be realised by creating a multi way bridge between Singapore, Melaka and Kyoto for arts and culture to be shared and cross pollinated.
The bridges built will also provide a platform that allow individuals and businesses to cross freely, working as part of the AKATSUKI network. Engagement with local communities and governments will be set in place so everyone can be a part of AKATSUKI.
Together, we can honour the rich heritage and use it to propel the present to build a new world with a firm foundation from the past.
